Keeping this in consideration, are duck boots for rain or snow?
Non-insulated duck boots are an excellent choice for rainy days and even some snowy ones because, even without any added insulation, they'll keep feet warm and dry to temperatures at and just below freezing.
Also, are Bean boots waterproof? According to L.L. Bean, bean boots are made with leather to be naturally waterproof, but years of winter weather can wear down even the most durable materials. Bean boots are made out of multiple materials, including leather uppers and rubber soles.
Then, can Bean boots be worn in snow?
For cold weather and snow, consider the Thinsulate, Gore-Tex/Thinsulate or Shearling-Lined versions. As much as I love my eight-inch navy Bean Boots, they're not true winter boots. That said, I still wear them in the snow from time to time–as evidenced by these photos, haha–because I think they're so flippin' cute. ;)
Are duck boots good for snow and ice?
Not only are duck boots good in the snow, they're your best footwear option in the snow if you're not in Antarctica. As mentioned above, any duck boot will keep your feet dry, but only duck boots lined in something like shearling or Thinsulate will keep your feet both warm and dry.
