In respect to this, when can I change betta fry water?
Once the fry are transferred into the 20 gallon grow-out tank, the care of the water is pretty much like all fish. We continue the daily 25% minimum water changes until the sub-adults are jarred. If the spawn is still larger than 100 fish we will begin 50% water changes.
Similarly, what do you do with baby fish you don't want? AC Members
- Hope that the parents or other tankmates eat the babies.
- Sell/Donate the babies to the LFS once they've grown a bit.
- Give them away to friends or local hobbyists.
- Buy more and more tanks to house your constantly breeding guppies until you are known by your peers as "that weird fish kid."
Just so, why are my fry dying?
ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates can play a big role in the life or death of your fry. ☹? Also, fry are very weak and very sensitive, so if you dont do things right they die. Water changes need to either need to be aged or treated tap water of the tempurature of the water in the tank and must be dripped slowly.
Do baby fry need air pump?
It's an ideal temperature for speedy growth of guppy fry. Besides this, it's really important to have an air pump in the guppies fry tank. Guppies' babies need oxygen to survive. For this, you need an air pump that agitates the surface of the water so that your babies will get more oxygen through water oxygen exchange.
