There is no Minecraft PS5 edition as of March 2022. Even so, you don’t have to worry too much as Minecraft will be available on PS5 in the upcoming years. It is possibly that the Minecraft PS5 edition could appear in the PlayStation store by the end of this year or by the beginning of 2023. However, the official date is not for sure.

While there is no PS5 version of Minecraft, it is possible to play the game on your PS5 console. The PlayStation 4 edition is compatible with the PS5, and you can just buy and download it from the PlayStation store. It will run in (more or less) the same way as it did on the PS4. You can even use PSVR, if you want to.

Sony has confirmed that the PS5 will be backward compatible, which means that you will be able to play games that were released for the previous console, the PS4 on the new system. Since Minecraft was available on the PS4, you will be able to play it on the PS5 when it releases for sure.

In a perfect world, Minecraft will be backward compatible on PS5, will receive a next-gen upgrade for free, and will still fully support cross-play …

I’ve pretty much made my mind for now on what console I want until more news comes out, and I’m most likely going to get the PS5. PS5 will be capable of RTX but on some sources it says that RTX won’t come to Minecraft.
