While there is no PS5 version of Minecraft, it is possible to play the game on your PS5 console. The PlayStation 4 edition is compatible with the PS5, and you can just buy and download it from the PlayStation store. It will run in (more or less) the same way as it did on the PS4. Sony has confirmed that the PS5 will be backward compatible, which means that you will be able to play games that were released for the previous console, the PS4 on the new system. Since Minecraft was available on the PS4, you will be able to play it on the PS5 when it releases for sure.
I’ve pretty much made my mind for now on what console I want until more news comes out, and I’m most likely going to get the PS5. PS5 will be capable of RTX but on some sources it says that RTX won’t come to Minecraft.
Alternatively, since DX12 has already come out and grabbed the raytracing market with DXR, Sony could cave in and support DirectX this time around, at which point MC RTX should kinda just work, assuming DX12 is properly supported on the PS5. It really depends on how Sony decide to handle API support with the PS5, it could go either way.
