I’m pretty sure this is caused by of 1.8 because you can maximize in other versions. The only way I have been able to fix it myself is restarting the game. Make sure when you restart the game that in the menus your fullscreen is set to off. If not you’ll get the same problem every time you restart. Share Improve this answer

Open the local file “options.txt” with any editor, Word should also go. Find the line “fullscreen = true”. Change the “true” to “false” and save the whole.
This time, as you can see in the attachment below, I am in windowed mode (not fullscreen) and unable to resize the Minecraft window (the “maximize” button is unavailable; I am sorry I can’t show it more clear with my cursor, the screenshot function does not recognise it) EDIT: It only happens when you use F11 to toggle fullscreen!!! The program is running on the “other monitor” where you can’t see it. If that’s it, the easiest way to fix this is to hold down the Windows logo on the keyboard, then type P (for “Projector”) until the Computer-only option is selected.
Minecraft villagers may not be breeding because you’ve not given the proper food, habitat, or privacy in the home. Villagers need privacy to breed and lots of food so that they can enter into love mode. In Minecraft, you cannot solely wish for villagers to breed by feeding them food. You also need to provide the space to live and beds.
So, why isn’t Minecraft free to play? Because of its history. Minecraft didn’t start off as some big cash-grab Microsoft project that was going to run on tons of platforms. It started off as a little indy project. In fact, it was an indy project inspired by another indy project called Infiniminer that got abandoned.
This will fix the render distance fog in Minecraft 1.18. Now you will be able to see more of your map, just like before the update. If you have joined a Minecraft realm, and you have also increased render distance and simulation distance to 32 chunks (maximum value), and still facing this issue then there is nothing much more to do about this right now.

How do I allocate more memory to Minecraft?
If you are going to use JVM arguments to define the memory allocation, be sure that you are not providing duplicate commands. -Xms1G will set the MINIMUM HEAP to 1GB at start-up. -Xmx1G will set the MAXIMUM HEAP to 1GB at start-up. Generally, when I need more memory for Minecraft, I set the max heap and not the min heap.
Can you have too many villagers in Minecraft?
You can never have too many of them! The good news is that breeding villagers are really easy in Minecraft. Minecraft villagers can be bread by feeding carrots, providing them houses to live and also by giving them beds to sleep in. In Minecraft, villagers breed only if they want to.

Is it bad to limit Minecraft frame rate?
As a PC player, it may be tempting to set your Minecraft frame rate to unlimited, but this often causes problems if your setup can’t handle such high frame rates. By capping the FPS depending on your monitor, you can still maintain a high frame rate (especially compared to console and mobile players) without suffering from frame drops.
